How the limits work

One allowance for all your sites
Visits and CDN bandwidth are counted for your whole account each month and shared by all the sites on your plan. A plan with 3 sites and 100,000 visits has 100,000 visits in total, not 100,000 for each site.
What counts as a visit
A visit is one unique visitor in a day: one IP address and browser pair, however many pages they open. Known bots, crawlers, and uptime monitors are left out.
Past your allowance
Your sites keep running. Past the plan, visits are $1 per 1,000 visits, server bandwidth is $0.10 per GB on the bandwidth price, CDN bandwidth is $0.10 per GB, and disk is $2 per GB. We email your account owners and admins at 80 and 100 percent of an allowance, before any overage bills. Billing shows your usage and the overage so far, and a spend cap stops overage from billing past the amount you set.
Disk
Every site slot brings 20 GB, so a plan's disk is its number of sites times 20 GB. Staging and preview environments count against the same total. Each site is capped at 20 GB unless you add more disk, which any site on the account can use.

How pricing works

Priced from cloud cost, and it only goes down

We publish the rule behind every price, so you can check it.

  • One price per region

Google Cloud's cost for a server and its disk in the region, shared across the sites it holds, plus a fixed margin.

  • Locked when you buy

Your price never rises while the plan is active. A lower region price reaches you at renewal.

  • 30 day refund

Cancel within 30 days of your first payment and the plan's hosting charges come back in full.

  • Two months free yearly

Annual plans cost ten times the monthly price.

Pricing questions

How are prices set?
Each price comes from one rule: what a server and its disk cost in the region at Google Cloud's list price, divided by the sites of that plan's size a server holds when it is 70 percent full, plus card fees and a 30 percent gross margin, rounded up to the next $5. Read Region prices for the details.
What does the price lock mean?
The price you pay when you start a plan is locked. It never goes up while the plan is active, even if the region price rises for new customers. If the region price falls, your plan moves down at the next renewal.
What is the shared node credit?
Prices assume servers are 70 percent full. When the region runs fuller, half of the saving comes back to monthly plans as a credit on the next invoice, up to 15 percent of the price. Annual plans already get two months free, so they get no credit.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from Billing in the dashboard, at once or at the end of the billing period. Within 30 days of your first payment the plan's hosting charges are refunded in full. A plan with sites on it is cancelled after you move or delete those sites.
Which regions can I choose?
Any location in the list when you add a site or start a plan. Ashburn, Virginia, United States already has a data center. In a location with none, your first site opens one, which takes about two minutes. Each location has its own price from the same rule.
What does it cost to be first in a location?
The first customer in a location with no data center carries all of it, so that plan costs more at first. The price is worked out from the real cost of the server and its disk with only a quarter of its site slots sold, instead of 70 percent. It is locked and never goes up. As others join, monthly plans get half of what the server saves back as a credit on the next invoice, up to 15 percent of the price. Annual plans get no credit and fall to the normal price when they renew. The plan list and the Summary step show the exact price before you pay.
Do I need a business account for Business plans?
Yes. Starter and Pro are sold to individual accounts, and Business 1 to 3 and Agency to business accounts. If you pick a Business plan, the sign up asks for your business name and creates it for you.
Can I add more sites to a plan?
Yes. A site slot add-on adds one site and 20 GB of disk for $40 a month in Ashburn, Virginia, United States, billed with your plan.
Are visits and bandwidth for each site or for all of them?
For all of them together. Visits and CDN bandwidth are counted for your whole account each month and shared by all the sites on your plan. Disk is different: each site slot brings 20 GB, so a plan's disk is its number of sites times 20 GB.
What happens if I go over my allowance?
Each plan is metered on visits, or on server bandwidth if you choose the bandwidth price, and on CDN bandwidth and disk either way. These are soft limits, so your sites keep working, and Billing shows this period's usage. Past the plan, visits are $1 per 1,000 visits, server bandwidth is $0.10 per GB on the bandwidth price, CDN bandwidth is $0.10 per GB, and disk is $2 per GB. We email you at 80 and 100 percent first, and a spend cap stops overage from billing past the amount you set.
