Referrals

The referral program pays a commission when someone you refer becomes a paying customer. Owners, Admins, and Billing members see it under Settings, then Referrals.

Apply

1. Open Settings, then Referrals.
2. Check your name and email in Join the referral program, then select Send application.
3. Avaloi reviews each application by hand. The page says your application was received, whether or not you applied before.

Open your portal

When Avaloi approves you, staff send you a private portal link. Paste the link, or the token at its end, into Already approved?. The page keeps the token only while it is open. Select Close portal to forget it.

The portal shows:

• Your referral link. A visit sets a cookie that lasts 60 days.
• Clicks, sign-ups, and paid referrals.
• Commissions waiting for payout, commissions paid, and any reversed after a refund or chargeback.
• Your payout periods.

No referred customer's name, email, or company appears in the portal.

How a sign-up and a commission are counted

• A visit to your link, or to any Avaloi page with ?ref= and your code, sets the cookie. The first link a person follows stays; a later link does not replace it.
• When that person creates a new Avaloi account, the account is linked to your code and counts as a sign-up. An account that existed before the click is never linked, and you cannot refer your own account.
• When the referred account pays its first invoice, you earn one commission on that invoice. A free invoice does not use it up, and later invoices earn nothing more.
• A refund or a chargeback on that invoice takes the whole commission back. The portal shows it under reversed. If a payout already included it, staff see the amount owed back.

What is not built yet

• Payouts are recorded by Avaloi staff. There is no automatic payout.
• Sync with an outside affiliate service and a CRM is off.
